Email us to delete

Use the subject Delete my Marshal account.

Email us from the address on your account, or tell us the mobile number on your account. That is how we know it is you. We will confirm, then delete the account.

What is deleted

Your profile, your name and your photo.
Your location history, including every position we have recorded.
Your check-in schedule and your check-in history.
Your SOS and safety event history.
Your items, your places, and any tracking account you connected. Saved credentials for a tracking account are scheduled for deletion, and gone within 7 days.
Your nominated contact’s details.
Your teams and team memberships, and pending invites into teams you own.
The notifications set up to reach you.
Your sign-in account.

If you own a team

The team is deleted with your account. Its members keep their own accounts. They see that the team was closed.

Please tell them yourself first if they rely on it.

If an SOS is open

Deletion waits until the SOS is closed. This way an alert is never lost.

What we keep, and why

Signed audit records that safety signals passed through our system. They are tamper-evident on purpose, so they cannot be edited or removed early. A safety record you can delete on demand is not a safety record.90 days
Messages already sent.If your contact was texted or emailed before you deleted your account, we cannot unsend that.Already sent
Other members’ own events in a team you owned. That is their record, with its own time limit.Their limit
System logs.30 days
Backups.Then they are gone.35 days
